Announcing the Sheltie Photo Contest Calendar!
We loved all the photos so much that we had some of them made into a Calender. It's available at The Sheltie Shop.

Here's what Chris said when she saw her photos in the calender:
I wanted to say once more how very much it means to all of us here at Nattering Springs to have Layla and Annie in the calendar. Your website has been an inspiration to us. And to have Annie -- whose first owner's husband called her "stupid" -- looking so lovely on the August page -- well, it just plain brings tears to my eyes. I ordered copies to send to Annie's rescuers -- they're just going to sit down and cry when they see this. Little Annie Laurie has come so far. Now she's a full fledged Therapy Dog working with People, Animals, Love of Washington DC. My sister and I started a therapy dog group through our church under PAL -- we call it St Pete's Pets – and Annie is the founding member.
Of course, we think that every Sheltie is special - but Chris is an extra special Shelte Mom. She works at Walter Reed Hospital, and you can read one of her stories right here under "The Warrior Healer."

Our May winner - Callie Callie was adopted from a Sheltie rescue group at the age of 5. She has come a long way in a short time; from a shaking Sheltie in my living room to passing her Canine Good Citizen test a little less than a year later. She is still gaining confidence every day. Callie loves food, treats and walks. We are practicing to begin competition in rally obedience. - Denice |

Our July winner - Lille Lille is a shining star in the "Angel on a Leash" program. Significantly smaller than most Shelties, and also slightly timid, Lille does not hesitate when told her to “cuddle up” to her patient, and it’s a perfect fit for the children she helps. |
